Christmas!

Well, here it is...a month late, but oh well.

Here we are at my parent's house for the annual Nativity Scene reenactment. So humilitating and hilarious! Probably not the spirit we're trying to achieve with this, but oh well.

Here is part of the reason I have gotten so slack on my blogging. I was bound and determined to finish this stocking I cross-stitched for Steven by Christmas Eve this year (which I did), so I pretty much didn't do anything else until it was done, thus my blog got neglected, and I haven't yet gotten back into the swing of things. But it's worth it. I'm glad I finished it! Although, I'm definitely going to have to fix the corners for next year. They're a little crazy, but that's what happens when you're in a huge hurry.

Here we are Christmas morning. Cody had fun opening up all his presents. It was the first time he ever actually opened a present by himself. Three cheers for Cody!!

My Mother-in-law always makes the cutest table decorations for Christmas Eve dinner. These little treats were her creation this year. Adorable!

Here we are with Steven's family performing the annual Christmas bells jingle. We never do that great of a job, but it sure is fun.

Here Cody is with his presents at Grandma and Grandpa's house. They are so nice and got him some GREAT stuff!! Thanks again Mom and Dad!

Well, it was a really fun Christmas. It was so fun having Cody a little older this year. He actually seemed to enjoy it at times. Can't wait to see what he'll be like next year.

Happy New Year!

Well, I'm going to have to go backwards since I haven't even done Christmas yet, but I only have so much time this morning, so I really wanted to get my post on New Years up. We had a lot of fun. We went to my parents house. My mom always goes all out for parties, so she had the hats, and the blowers, and the sparkling martinellis, and champagne glasses. We ate way too much food and watched a guy completely risk his life for some money and fame (what an idiot!). We played an "Office" game in which I got my butt kicked (but just barely) by my younger bro'. We watched as the ball dropped in Times Square, and we rang in the New Year. It was great! Thanks again Mom and Dad for hosting the festivities this year. You're great!

The next morning, Steven, Cody, and I ate the traditional New Years Day breakfast casserole, and then we spent the rest of the day taking down Christmas. Oh what a relief to have my house back to normal. I love the decorations, but after a while they really get old.

As far as new years resolutions go...I gave up on those a long time ago. When the new year rolls around, I just kind of take inventory on my life, and in general how I can improve a few things, but the actual resolutions never work for me, because if I make them, and don't succeed, then I give up all together. So this way, I just improve as I go. Perfect! Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody!! Hope you have a good one!!

A really funny moment for Steven

Crying for no reason!

Ok girls...I know I'm not the only one out there. Does anybody else find themselves so down in the dumps once in a while, and just crying for no apparent reason??? Why does this have to happen to us??? Don't we women already go through enough as is??? Man, I just need to get pregnant again. When I'm pregnant, I'm a rock. Otherwise, I'm an emotional reck. I know, it's supposed to be the other way around, but not for me it isn't. The worst part about feeling this way is that when I'm like this, I don't get anything done, which makes me feel even worse. I guess subconsiously I figure, if I'm going to be crying, might as well give myself something to cry about. :)
