So Busy!

So, I haven't been doing too well with my "catching up" lately and I will tell you why. Steven is working six 13-14 hour days a week. He usually leaves the house around 6:30 and doesn't get home until 8:30 at the earliest (except for Saturdays when he gets home at about 7:30). So I'm pretty much a single mom right now. On top of that, I have become obsessed with couponing again (much to my dismay). Ya, really not a fan of couponing, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right? I have to say though, it IS fun to come home with $12 worth of shampoo and conditioner for $1, or be paid $1.50 to take home 8 things of floss, and get multiple other awesome deals on things. It just takes a lot of time to find these great deals and so blogging has slowly drifted to the bottom of my priority list.

Well, since I don't have time to put my pictures on my computer let alone upload them onto this blog post, I'll just TELL you what's going on.

Cody:
He beat me up yesterday (or at least tried to) and spent the rest of the day in his room for it. It all started when he was sent to his room for being naughty, and while I was picking up all his toys to lock up in his closet so it would actually be a punishment, he decided to start punching and kicking me as hard as he could. I just ignored him, even though it did hurt a bit, and that infuriated him even more. I warned him that he'd spend the rest of the day, until Dad got home, in his room if he didn't stop (it was about 4:00 at this point), but that didn't even make him flinch. Little stinker. He sure can be a handful at times, but he really is a sweetheart most of the time. Like, if I drop something, he'll quickly pick it up and say, "here you go Mama". Or, when Samantha's crying, he'll rush to give her her binky, or if he's eating a treat he'll always offer me some. And multiple other examples. It is so fun to drop him off at preschool and watch him walk to the door with his cute little backpack on, and then to see his happy smiling face when I pick him up and to hear him say, "Mama, I love you". Ah, he can melt my heart when he wants to. I love my little Buddy Boo.

Samantha:
She is so dang cute! I have so much fun with her. She hasn't even started rolling yet and she's almost 8 months old. I am perfectly okay with that btw. By this time Cody was crawling around like a mad man. If Samantha was like Cody she would be taking her first step in just one month. Oh, thank heavens she's her own little person. :) She's finally starting to really laugh, especially when we play peek-a-boo. She absolutely loves baths, cereal, being held, being smiled at and talked to, kicking her legs, chewing on anything she can get her hands on, growling, squeaking, talking (she's saying "dada" and "baba" now) and so much more. She absolutely hates being left alone too long, having her nose cleaned, when her big brother is too rough with her, being on her tummy, and a few other things. For the most part, she is an absolutely patient, well-behaved baby. She sleeps so good! She has slept through the night for a couple months now. She is just an absolute delight! Everybody comments on how cute she is and what a good baby she is. I have to agree. :)

I am so grateful to have both my kids in my life, and my wonderful husband. He really is the best! Anyway, there's my little update. If you've made it this far, I hope you didn't get too bored. :)
