Well, I didn't have one second to myself yesterday where I could post a blog about Mothers' Day, so this is a day late, but oh well. Since this was my very first official Mothers' Day, Steven spoiled me. He got us 8 ballroom dance lessons each of which are followed by an actual dance afterwards, so you can put to use what you just learned. Steven is not a dancer, so this is a huge stretch for him. And Cody got me the new Stephenie Meyer book "The Host", which is pretty good so far. I'm still trying to get over the fact that the earth and just about every body on it has been taken over by these strange alien "souls" and there doesn't seem to be any hope of that changing in this story...that's just a little depressing, but other than that, it's really fascinating. Anyway, we didn't go to church since Cody and I are still trying to get over this cold we got last week (didn't want to get anyone else sick), plus I had to get to my parents house asap. My brother called from Australia at noon. It was so good to talk to him! We spent the rest of the night at my parents' house bbqing, watching a movie and just talking. Oh, and we took Cody to the park for his very first ride on a swing. It was a lot of fun, and overall a pretty good day.
