Make any forts lately?

Steven and I watched our nephew Robert overnight a few weekends ago. During the day, Robert asked if we could make a fort. My first thought was, "Oh great. How in the world are we going to do that?" Then, my inner child swooped in and all these many memories I have of making forts when I was little flooded my memory. I got really excited really quick. I think I blew my nephew away. I started producing sheets and blankets and barstools and boxes and heavy things to keep things in place at lightning speed. I think I was more excited than he was. We put it together, and he commented that he had never made such a big fort before. I was pretty proud of myself. There were 2 entrances along with 2 halls that led to the large inner room. Needless to say, I could really feel my imagination emerging. We had a blast! We played board games and watched TV in our fort...all while Cody was sleeping of course. I knew that as soon as Cody came downstairs, the fort wouldn't stand a chance. I was right. Here are some pictures to prove my turning into a kid for a day (or at least an hour). If you haven't made any forts lately, I highly recommend it! Good times!

That looks like it was a lot of fun! Matt really gets into building forts too - he's been known to rearrange furniture, nail blankets into the walls, and enlist the help of fishing poles and broom handles to achieve the perfect fortyness.
