I have really gotten into couponing lately. There are two shopping trips in particular that I am especially proud of, and I thought I would share it with you. The first was a trip to Albertsons and Target. I paid only $3.14 for everything you see here (8 bags of Goldfish crackers, 4 bars of buddy soap, and a bottle of Shout). It would have been $27.80 without the coupons. That means I saved $24.66.
This trip was to Target. Everything you see here (a bag of frozen chicken, three 184 count baby wipes, 2 bottles of pledge multi-surface, and two six-count applesauce cups) was only $12.15, however, not counting the chicken, it was only $4.67. Without the coupons, it would've been $38.53. That is a savings of $26.38!! I love it!

Yay for familiarization!
So, like I said in my last post...I've been familiarizing Cody with the "potty". And this is what happened when he got a little TOO comfortable. Oh well...at least he knows the concept of putting the toilet paper in the toilet. And, yes, I did need to use a plunger after he was done stuffing it all in. I guess maybe I should've been stopping him rather than taking pictures and laughing my head off. Ahhh, motherhood!

Poo poo!
So I have started reading up on potty training, and one thing that seems to be really important is to start familiarizing your child with the "potty" so it doesn't scare them when you actually start the potty training process. So, I've been setting Cody on the potty and reading to him, just to get him used to sitting there for a little bit. And I've started trying to point out to him that that is where we go "poo poo" and "pee pee". And, well, we've been letting him watch Steven go to the bathroom from day one, so he's used to seeing that. So, already he is saying "poo poo" right before he goes poo poo. One time he even pointed at the bathroom when he said it. Kind of crazy! I've put him on the toilet a couple times, and even though he doesn't actually go, he goes through the motions. He makes grunting noises, then pulls off a piece of toilet paper, wipes, then gets off and flushes the toilet. Then, I help him wash his hands. Since I want to instill this important step into his routine, I make sure he does it EVERY time he goes pretend potty, but it gets a little old when he wants to go through the motions like 3 or 4 times in a row. Anyway, he's sure acting ready to start the process, but I really would like to wait until he's two to really start training him because I heard that if you start too soon, it could make it all that much harder. So...anybody have any pointers? Fun stuff!!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!!
Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody!! I hope all of you had a good one, and I hope you all wore green today. If not...consider yourself pinched. (:
Well, I just wanted to do an update on the modbe party tomorrow night. I got a call from my modbe consultant tonight letting me know that if you come to the party and order 3 things, you'll get 10% off your order. Pretty cool! Anyway, just wanted to let you all know. Oh, and feel free to bring your kids! I'm sure we'll have lot's of them there. :)

My future rock climber
Cody getting stuck climbing in between the couches.
He climbed this ladder all by himself...with supervision of course.
Anything he can find to climb on, he will.
