Some big news!

Well, even though a lot of you already know this, I thought it would be fun to officially announce that I am pregnant! We are so excited about this new addition to our family and can't wait to find out what it is in 8 more weeks. I am 12 weeks along today and am due September 26th. Cody has been so cute so far this pregnancy. He keeps saying "baby...mama's tummy". He always wants to give the baby (aka, my tummy) kisses. It's so cute. He seems very excited about it even though I'm not sure he really understands the whole concept. I have a feeling there will come a shocking point for him when he realizes that this "baby" is actually coming home to live with us when it's out of mommy's tummy. I guess we'll see.

I started feeling a bit of morning sickness around 6 weeks, and along with that came, what I call "extreme fatigue". That might be a bit of an exaggeration, but it's how I've felt. Literally just yesterday was the first day that I've felt almost normal. The fatigue hasn't lessened too much, but the nausea is definitely starting to die down. Which is a HUGE blessing since it went on all through my second trimester with Cody. I also threw up with Cody quite a bit but luckily haven't thrown up once with this one. So nice! I have had to lay down a few times and mentally will myself not to though. I HATE throwing up, especially when pregnant, because it doesn't make me feel better like it does when I have the stomach flu.

Anyway, neither Steven nor I care what the baby is. I would be absolutely thrilled with either. I tend to think it's a boy, but I think that just stems from the fact that that's what I had last time, and it's hard for me to imagine anything different. We'll find out soon enough. :) As far as names go...if it's a girl, she will be named Samantha Marie. I have always wanted the name Samantha, ever since I can remember. I even got the "Samantha" American Girl doll when I was little because I like the name. I think I got it from watching "Who's the Boss". I've also wanted her to go by "Sam". "Marie" comes from my Grandma on my Dad's side who passed away a couple years ago. If it's a boy...I have no idea. That will be a tricky one. I will have to hit the baby name books for the first time if it's a boy.
