About a year ago I started researching potty training. I found this ebook that I really liked. This lady has potty trained 100's of kids, including 3 of her own, because she works at a daycare and is known for potty training the kids that attend there. She really seemed to know what she was talking about. So...I read the book through many times and used her techniques almost to a T. We started the process the day after Cody's 2nd birthday. The result...2 1/2 months later...Cody is now potty trained. That's not to say he doesn't still have accidents on occasion (which is usually because of me slacking). He also likes to use peeing his pants as punishment for me for not giving him what he wants, or for putting him in time out, but even that is starting to vanish. Many times he tells me he needs to go, and sometimes he even goes to the bathroom, pulls down his drawers, and goes all by himself. I'm so impressed with my little guy!
This wasn't AT ALL an easy task. There were days I wanted to quit SO bad, and very nearly did, but somehow, I just kept at it, and it has really paid off. I'm not due even half the credit though. Cody is an amazing little boy and has excelled at all things physical in his life so far. I just hope that his siblings are as easy to potty train as he's been. I use the word "easy" very loosely here. :) Anyway, YAY CODY!!! Way to go kid!!
Here he is opening his birthday present which held new undies (which he picked out), some fun soapy soap, and some flushable wipes.
Here Cody is sporting one pair of his new undies. Lookin' good bud!
